Need help? I have been tasked with finding a solution to this issue, but what seemed to be a fairly straightforward task, has proven to be quite difficult. Being fairly new to Salesforce I'd imagined this was standard functionality.
However, having looked around quite some, it seemes the standard export functions Data Export, Data Loader only export files to.
I would imagine there is some kind of converter tool to get them back to their original. However, I haven't had any luck getting it to work. I have downloaded the old Apex DataLoader Unfortunately, I quickly ran into an issue: So my question is, does anyone know how to get FileExporter to work properly? Poonam Gautam Dataloader. However, there are restrictions using this application. I was not able to download records even after upgrading to the professional package. In Professional Package the export task expires after hours.
Instead, data export tool of salesforce was really helpful and l could export all the 10, records attachment files at once. Juan D. Robles Hi - I was able to use SFDC native data export and got all the records as well as files contentversion - However, the export stripped the file extension so now I have k files that MAC does not recognize and marks as 'Unix Executable" which I can't really open.
